Microbiology

Microbiology

Microbiology is the study of microorganisms, such as fungi and protists, prokaryotes, viruses, and prions, and their manipulation through experiments. Because microbes can be pathogenic, microbiology is interconnected with the field of immunology, which is the study of immune systems and their response to pathogenicity.
