Professional Education

Professional Education

As professionals in the changing and dynamic world of research, librarians are aware they must become lifelong learners in order to meet the demands of the data professional. Librarians in science related research and academic fields will find information here to build their knowledge and skills related to data management, data information literacy, scholarly communications, systematic reviews, bioinformatics, and emerging trends & technologies nationally and abroad. The thesaurus explores content and terminology; competencies address the skills and needs of science librarians; Science Boot Camp for Librarians provides an immersive program foo science librarians; courses and workshops have been identified for one-time and recurring continuing education and professional development opportunities; and a compilation of e-Science publications provides a variety of publuications for the e-science or data librarian.
