DOCLINE is a service provided by The National Library of Medicine (NLM). As part of the National Institutes of Health, NLM is dedicated to providing information and research services in all areas of biomedicine and health care through its partnerships with the National Network of Libraries of Medicine and major medical libraries throughout the world.
NLM changes to ILL coming in 2018
The additional NLM interlibrary loan resource sharing program through the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) has been delayed from the original planned launch of January 1, 2018. We will notify libraries when a new 2018 implementation date is determined to make resource sharing through OCLC available. Of course, DOCLINE continues to serve as the primary service for ILL with the NLM ILL Web Portal as an option for libraries who aren’t DOCLINE members. The planned fee increase to $12 for NLM filling an interlibrary loan became effective on January 1 and will help ensure that NLM continues to provide efficient service for incoming requests.
