New England Programs

New England Programs

  • NEASIST Events – Program offerings from the New England Chapter of the Association for Information Science & Technology
  • Data Scientist Training for Librarians – The aim of this Harvard course created by librarian Chris Erdmann was to upgrade the skill sets of librarians so that they can better serve the data needs of their communities and introduce librarians to a variety of tools currently used by data scientists. The class provided real world use cases and hands-on training covering data extraction, cleansing, sharing and presentation. Members of the course concentrated on bibliographic data sources; learned web programming and database development.
  • NNLM NER eScience Resources & Programs – Educational resources and events for New England science and medical librarians sponsored by the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, New England Region (NNLM NER)
